Kitchener is D&D's home city and our most active renovation market. The city's housing stock spans everything from post-war bungalows in Vanier and Cherry Hill to new construction in Doon South and Williamsburg. We've renovated kitchens in older homes with original plaster walls, bathrooms in mid-century ranchers, and basements in newer builds. Kitchener homeowners often renovate to add value ahead of sale or to modernize aging interiors β we're deeply familiar with both goals and the typical scope they require.
Interior Renovation Services Across Waterloo Region & Golden Horseshoe
Based in Kitchener, Ontario β serving homeowners and property owners across a 100km radius with kitchen renovations, bathroom upgrades, flooring, and more.
Our Primary Service Cities
We work most frequently in these four cities β our team knows the local housing stock, permit offices, and supplier relationships in each community.
Waterloo's renovation market is diverse β from the established older neighbourhoods of Uptown and the Lincoln Heights area, to the newer family homes in Westvale, Laurelwood, and Conservation Meadows. Condo ownership is high, and we regularly work with condo owners upgrading kitchens and bathrooms in Waterloo's dense residential towers near the university corridors. Waterloo clients tend to prioritize clean, modern aesthetics with high-quality materials that hold up to the rental and resale market.
Cambridge is one of the most architecturally varied cities in Waterloo Region, with the heritage stone and brick homes of Galt, the mid-century neighbourhoods of Preston, and the newer subdivisions of Hespeler and Blair. This variety of home types means renovation planning requires genuine local knowledge. Our team has worked extensively across all three Cambridge communities, and we understand the considerations for heritage home renovations just as well as we understand modern open-concept conversions.
Guelph's strong university presence, growing tech sector, and reputation as one of Ontario's most liveable mid-sized cities has created a strong renovation market. We work with Guelph homeowners renovating to stay in their homes long-term, as well as property investors looking to maximize rental returns in student and family rental markets. The city's mix of Victorian heritage homes and modern new builds in the Stone Road and Clairfields areas gives our team a wide variety of renovation challenges to solve.

Why a Local Waterloo Region Renovation Company Makes a Difference
Interior renovation is a long-term relationship, not a transaction. When you hire a contractor for a kitchen renovation, you're trusting them in your home for weeks β and trusting that the finished product will hold up for 15 to 20 years. A company based in Kitchener that works year-round in this market has reputational stakes that a travelling contractor from the GTA simply doesn't. We're not moving on after your job. We're still here, and your referrals matter to us.
Ontario's building permit requirements for interior renovations vary by municipality, and the permit offices across Waterloo Region, Brant County, and Oxford County each have their own timelines and documentation standards. Our familiarity with local permit offices means your project doesn't stall waiting for approvals. We know what Kitchener requires for a basement finishing permit, what Cambridge requires for structural modifications, and what Guelph expects from a bathroom renovation that touches plumbing stack locations.
The climate factor matters for interior work too. Ontario's significant humidity swings between seasons β from very dry winters (indoor RH often drops below 20% during cold snaps) to humid summers β affect material selection for flooring, cabinetry, and even tile grout. Our design recommendations account for these conditions. Solid hardwood specified for a Kitchener living room is engineered with these humidity ranges in mind. Grout and sealant selections for a bathroom are chosen for Ontario's seasonal temperature range. This isn't generic advice from a showroom β it's local knowledge applied to your project.

Service Area FAQ
Common questions from homeowners and property owners across our service territory.
Do you serve communities outside Waterloo Region β like Stratford, Simcoe, or Niagara Falls?
Our standard 100km service radius covers the majority of southern Ontario for larger renovation projects. Stratford is within this range for kitchen and bathroom renovations. Simcoe and Niagara Falls are at or beyond our standard radius β call us at (519) 502-3905 to discuss your project. For large, multi-room renovation projects in these areas, we may be able to accommodate. We'll give you an honest answer.
Is there a travel fee for interior renovation projects in Hamilton or Burlington?
For qualifying projects β full kitchen renovations, full bathroom renovations, or multi-room combinations β we travel to Hamilton and Burlington with no travel surcharge. The project scope needs to justify the drive. For smaller, single-trade jobs (flooring only, countertop replacement only) in these cities, a travel fee may apply. We're transparent about this when you request your quote.
How quickly can you start a renovation project in Woodstock or Brantford?
For Woodstock and Brantford projects, we schedule design consultations within 1–2 weeks and can typically book start dates within 4–8 weeks of design approval, depending on our current project schedule and material lead times. Kitchen and bathroom projects in these areas follow the same production timeline as our Kitchener projects. Contact us to discuss your timeline and we'll give you an accurate estimate based on current capacity.
Do you work on rural properties or older farmhouses outside of town centres?
Yes. Rural properties present their own renovation considerations β older plumbing and electrical systems, non-standard ceiling heights, original hardwood under dated finishes, and sometimes structural surprises. Our team is experienced with rural and semi-rural home renovations throughout Woolwich, Wilmot, Wellesley, and North Dumfries townships. We conduct a thorough site assessment before quoting any rural project to account for conditions that may affect scope and cost.
