Do we need to move out during the renovation?
In most cases, no. We work with you to phase the project so you can remain in your home comfortably. For full kitchen or multi-room renovations, we'll discuss realistic expectations during your consultation and create a phased schedule that minimizes disruption.
How long does a kitchen renovation typically take?
A full kitchen renovation — including cabinet replacement, countertops, flooring, and lighting — generally takes 2–4 weeks depending on scope and material lead times. Partial updates like countertop replacement only can take as little as 2–3 days. We'll give you a precise timeline in your written quote.
Can you match my existing flooring?
Often yes. We carry an extensive selection of hardwood, engineered hardwood, laminate, and LVP options and can source matching products in many cases. We'll bring samples to your home during the consultation. If an exact match isn't possible, we'll suggest the closest available option and discuss transition solutions.
Do you provide design help?
Absolutely. We offer design guidance on material selection, colour palettes, layout options, and finishes. While we're not an interior design firm, our experienced team has helped hundreds of homeowners make decisions they're thrilled with. We can also work alongside your designer if you have one.
What happens if mold or water damage is discovered during the reno?
If we uncover mold, rot, or water damage behind walls or under floors, we'll stop work immediately, document what we found, and walk you through the next steps. We can handle mold remediation and structural repairs in-house. Any scope or cost changes are discussed and approved by you before work continues — no surprises.
How do you handle dust and debris containment during interior work?
We take dust containment seriously. Our crew uses floor protection, door-seal barriers, and dust extraction tools on all sanding, cutting, and demolition work. At the end of every work day we vacuum and sweep the work zone. For large projects we can erect full containment barriers to isolate the renovation area from the rest of your living space, so you can continue using your home comfortably while work is underway.

Do you offer design consultations before quoting?
Yes — we encourage it. Before we provide a written quote, one of our project leads will visit your home to walk through the space with you, understand your vision, discuss material options and finishes, and establish a realistic scope. This in-home consultation is completely free and gives us the information we need to quote accurately so there are no surprises once work begins.
Can you work on one room while we live in the house?
Absolutely. We complete the majority of our projects in occupied homes. We use dust containment barriers, maintain a clean and organized jobsite, and schedule noisier work during daytime hours. If work impacts a bathroom or kitchen, we give you advance notice and work to minimize the inconvenience. Many clients continue their daily routine throughout the entire renovation.
What happens if you discover unexpected issues mid-project?
We contact you immediately. If we open a wall and find plumbing, wiring, mould, or structural concerns that weren't visible during quoting, we stop, document what we found, and walk you through the options before proceeding. Any additional scope is quoted separately and requires your approval in writing. We never add to the project cost without your explicit sign-off first.
Do you offer financing options?
Yes. We work with third-party financing partners that offer flexible payment plans for renovation projects. Approvals are typically fast and you can spread the cost over 6 to 60 months depending on the plan you qualify for.
